Note: Years listed represent the period during which the individual held the office of Prime Minister, regardless of the duration within that year. For instance, Charles Tupper – Canada’s 6th Prime Minister – held the office for only 69 days (May 01 – July 08/1896). He served the shortest term of any Prime Ministers.

Charles Tupper had the shortest term as Prime Minister. According to the Library of Parliament website, he held the position for only 69 days back in 1896.
Longest Continuous Term as Prime Minister – 15 years – Wilfrid Laurier
Wilfrid Laurier held the office as Canadian Prime Minister for 15 straight years from July 1896 to October 1911. (This is the longest continuous term, but not the person who has been Prime Minister the longest. That title belongs to William Lyon Mackenzie King.)
Longest Serving Canadian Prime Minister – 21 years spread over 3 terms – William Lyon Mackenzie King
William Lyon Mackenzie King was Canada’s Prime Minister three times. His first term was from December 1921 to June 1926, then again from September 1926 to August 1930, then again from October 1935 to November 1948. (Reference: The Canadian Encyclopedia)
The Canadian Prime Minister Who Died Young – John Thompson
Canada’s 4th Prime Minister – John Thompson – was only 49 years old when he suddenly died of a heartache in Queen Victoria’s Windsor Castle in England. (Reference: Dictionary of Canadian Biography)
Canada’s Female Prime Minister – Kim Campbell – 1993
Canada’s first and so far only female Prime Minister was Kim Campbell who served from June 1993 until November 1993. (Reference)

Following his death, it was revealed in William Lyon Mackenzie King’s personal diaries that he participated in seances in attempts to communicate with the spirits of his deceased parents and even Wilfrid Laurier (Canada’s 7th Prime Minister). (Reference)
